Lattice Dove Snail

The adult lattice dove snail lives on sandy bottoms and among rubble in shallow coastal waters. It crawls over the substrate, grazing biofilm and scavenging small organic food particles with its rasping radula. Its patterned, lattice-like shell provides sturdy protection when it retreats inside.
