Southern Pine Looper Moth
Caripeta aretaria
Adult Southern Pine Looper Moths inhabit pine woods and wooded edges across the southeastern United States. They fly chiefly at night and may visit lights, while the adults take little or no food. Their brown, finely patterned wings provide excellent camouflage when resting against bark or dried foliage.
