Timberman Beetle
Acanthocinus aedilis

Adult timberman beetles inhabit conifer forests and are most often found on freshly cut, dying, or fallen pine trunks. They emerge in warmer months, moving across bark and flying between suitable breeding sites. The adult's remarkably long antennae, especially in males, can extend several times beyond its body length.
