Goliath Beetle
Goliathus goliatus
Adult Goliath beetles inhabit tropical forests and woodland edges in equatorial Africa. They feed on tree sap, ripe fruit, and nectar, and are strong fliers despite their heavy bodies. Males bear a forked head horn used to wrestle rivals and push them from feeding sites.
