Painted Anemone
Urticina crassicornis

Painted anemones live attached to rocks and other hard surfaces in cold coastal seas, often in tide pools and shallow subtidal habitats. They use rings of tentacles to sting and seize passing crustaceans, small fish, and other invertebrates. Their bright red, orange, green, or white patterns can vary greatly between individuals.
