Wasp Beetle
Clytus arietis
Adult wasp beetles inhabit woodland edges, hedgerows, and clearings with dead hardwood nearby. They visit open flowers to feed on nectar and pollen, and fly between sunny perches. Their yellow-and-black markings mimic a wasp, discouraging some predators despite the beetle being harmless.
