Thief Ant
Solenopsis molesta
Thief ants live in tiny hidden colonies in soil, rotting wood, wall voids, and near larger ant nests. Workers forage discreetly for greasy foods, dead insects, and the brood of other ants, often slipping through narrow passages unnoticed. Their small size lets them exploit entrances too tight for many competing ants.
