Northern Prawn
Pandalus borealis

Northern prawns inhabit cold North Atlantic and Arctic waters, usually over soft seafloor at considerable depth. They forage at night on zooplankton, small animals, and organic material, using their long antennae to sense food. During daylight they often remain lower in the water or near the bottom to reduce exposure to predators. This species is a sequential hermaphrodite, with many individuals changing from male to female as they mature.
