Common Wall Lizard Hatchling
Podarcis muralis (hatchling)

Newly hatched common wall lizards are tiny, alert reptiles that keep to warm cracks, stones, walls, and low vegetation near shelter. They feed on very small insects and other minute invertebrates, relying on quick darts rather than strength. Their small size makes camouflage and rapid retreat especially important. Like older wall lizards, they bask to raise body temperature before active hunting.
