Eastern Billabongfly
Austroagrion watsoni
The adult Eastern Billabongfly patrols sunny billabongs, ponds, and slow streams, often perching on waterside vegetation between flights. It catches small flying insects in the air with its spiny legs. Males may defend a small waterside territory while searching for mates. Like other damselflies, it holds its two pairs of wings together above its body when perched.
