Scentless bug
Corizus hyoscyami
The adult scentless bug inhabits open grassland, hedgerows, roadside vegetation, and gardens where seed-bearing plants are abundant. It feeds by piercing seeds, flower heads, and other soft plant parts to draw out fluids. Fully developed wings allow it to move between feeding sites, and its warm brown-red pattern provides camouflage among dried stems and seed heads.
