Aurochs Adult
Bos primigenius (adult)

Adult aurochs inhabited open woodlands, forest edges, and grasslands across Europe, North Africa, and western Asia. They grazed grasses and browsed shrubs, using their great size and formidable horns to deter predators and rivals. Bulls were substantially larger than cows, and the species was the wild ancestor of modern domestic cattle before becoming extinct in 1627.
