Giant Anemone
Condylactis gigantea

Giant anemones inhabit warm, shallow reefs, seagrass beds, and rocky coastal areas of the Caribbean and western Atlantic. Their long, pale tentacles seize small fish, crustaceans, and other drifting prey with stinging cells. Despite their flower-like appearance, they are stationary predators that can quickly contract their bodies when threatened.
