Four-spotted Pennant
Brachymesia gravida
The adult four-spotted pennant patrols sunny ponds, marshes, and grassy wetland edges, often returning to exposed perches. It captures small flying insects such as mosquitoes and midges in mid-air. Males are territorial, and the dark spots on their wings are especially conspicuous during their rapid display flights.
