Monster Mantis
Archimantis monstrosa
The adult Monster Mantis inhabits dense shrubs, forest edges, and gardens across eastern Australia. It waits motionless in vegetation before grabbing insects and other small animals with powerful, spined forelegs. Adults can fly, and their swaying posture makes their long body resemble moving foliage.
