White-naped Honeyeater
Melithreptus lunatus

The White-naped Honeyeater lives in open eucalypt forests, woodlands, and coastal heath across southern Australia. It moves quickly through the canopy, feeding on nectar, insects, and spiders picked from foliage and bark. Pairs actively defend feeding areas with calls and chasing flights. Its crisp white nape patch is a distinctive feature of the adult plumage.
