Red Wattlebird
Anthochaera carunculata

Red Wattlebirds inhabit woodland, gardens, heathland, and flowering urban parks in southern Australia. They forage actively among blossoms and foliage, taking nectar as well as insects, spiders, and fruit. The long reddish wattles hanging from either side of the neck are a distinctive feature, and adults vigorously defend rich feeding areas.
