Spring Dumbledor
Trypocopris vernalis

Adults inhabit damp woodland, heath, and grazed grassland, where they locate fresh dung by scent. They dig beneath dung and bury portions to feed on or prepare brood chambers. The metallic blue or green beetle can fly strongly between feeding sites and uses its broad forelegs for digging.
