Yellow-horned Caddisfly

Limnephilus flavicornis

Yellow-horned Caddisfly

Adults are found around freshwater habitats, resting in vegetation by day and flying most actively at dusk and night. They drink moisture and may take nectar or other liquid food, while breeding near the water where their larvae will develop. The pale yellowish antennae give this caddisfly its common name. Adults are short-lived and are often drawn to lights after dark.
