Twig Looper
Ectropis excursaria
This adult moth inhabits wooded areas and shrubby edges where its larval host plants grow. It is mainly active at night, flying through the canopy and resting flat against bark or branches by day. The subdued patterning on its wings helps break up its outline against weathered wood.
