False Tiger Moth
Dysphania militaris
Adult False Tiger Moths are nocturnal insects found around vegetation in woodland and scrub. They fly after dusk and feed on nectar or other available sugary fluids. Their contrasting wing pattern gives them a tiger-like appearance, while their flight lets them quickly escape danger.
