Speckled Footman
Coscinia cribraria
Adult Speckled Footmen inhabit dry open country, heathland, and woodland edges. They are mostly active at night and visit flowers for nectar when available. The pale, dark-speckled wings give this moth its name and help it blend into lichen-covered or lightly patterned resting surfaces.
