Western Tanager Chick
Piranga ludoviciana (chick)

Western Tanager chicks develop in cup-shaped nests high in coniferous or mixed forests across western North America. They remain dependent on their parents, which bring them mostly insects and other small invertebrates, with some fruit as they grow. Covered in sparse down at first, chicks typically leave the nest about 11 to 15 days after hatching.
