Heliotrope Moth
Utetheisa pulchelloides

Adults occur in warm open habitats, gardens, grasslands, and disturbed areas where host plants grow. They fly mainly at dusk and night, visiting flowers for nectar and seeking suitable plants on which to lay eggs. Their patterned wings advertise chemical protection acquired from alkaloid-bearing food plants.
