Grey Fantail Chick
Rhipidura albiscapa (chick)
Grey Fantail chicks develop in small cup-shaped nests in woodland, scrub, and gardens across southeastern Australia and nearby regions. They remain dependent on their parents, begging loudly for small insects and other invertebrates. Growing feathers are often fluffed to help retain warmth. Their bright mouth lining helps adults place food accurately during feeding.
