Australian Hobby Chick
Falco longipennis (chick)

Australian Hobby chicks develop in a stick nest high in a tall tree, often using an old nest built by another bird. Covered in pale down at first, they are fed insects, small birds, and occasional small mammals brought by their parents. As they grow, the chicks exercise their wings and use their sharp beaks and feet to handle food before fledging.
