Dwarf Chain Loach
Ambastaia sidthimunki

The dwarf chain loach inhabits clear, shallow freshwater streams and rivers in Thailand, especially areas with sand, gravel, leaf litter, and submerged roots. It spends much of its time close to the bottom, slipping through cover and actively searching for insect larvae, tiny crustaceans, worms, and other small invertebrates. Its linked dark markings give the fish its common name, while its small size makes it well suited to weaving through narrow crevices in the streambed.
