Ashy-grey Slug
Limax cinereoniger

The ashy-grey slug is a large terrestrial slug of damp old forests, especially beneath logs, stones, and loose bark. It is mainly active at night or in wet weather, grazing on fungi, algae, decaying plant material, and other organic matter with its rasping radula. Its mottled grey body blends closely with bark and leaf litter, helping it avoid predators. Like other slugs, it produces abundant mucus that aids movement and makes handling it difficult for attackers.
