Sheep blow fly
Lucilia cuprina

Adult sheep blow flies occur around livestock, carrion, gardens, and human settlements, where they readily locate odours from wounds and decaying matter. Adults drink nectar, honeydew, and other liquids, while females seek suitable sheep wounds in which to lay eggs. The adult has a distinctive metallic green to bronze body and can rapidly travel between feeding and breeding sites.
