Sambava Tomato Frog
Dyscophus guineti

Adult Sambava tomato frogs inhabit humid rainforest floor habitats, especially leaf litter near temporary pools and slow water. They are sit-and-wait hunters that snap up insects, spiders, and other small invertebrates that pass within reach. When threatened, they can inflate their bodies and produce a sticky skin secretion that deters predators.
