Harlequin Bug
Murgantia histrionica

Adult harlequin bugs inhabit fields, gardens, and weedy areas where cabbage, broccoli, mustard, and other cruciferous plants grow. They feed by piercing plant tissues and can damage young plants, pods, and seeds when abundant. The fully winged adults disperse between host plants, while their vivid patterned shell advertises their pungent chemical defense.
