Bell Miner
Manorina melanophrys

Bell Miners inhabit open eucalypt forests and woodland, especially areas with abundant sap-feeding insects. They actively search foliage and bark for lerp, insects, nectar, and small invertebrates. Adults are conspicuous, agile fliers that defend feeding areas with loud calls and aerial chases. Their clear bell-like call gives the species its common name.
