Wolverine
Gulo gulo
Wolverines inhabit boreal forest, alpine terrain, and Arctic tundra across the Northern Hemisphere. These solitary scavenger-predators eat carrion, small mammals, birds, eggs, and berries, and can travel widely in search of food. Powerful jaws and claws let them tear frozen carcasses apart and dig through snow. Despite their compact build, wolverines are renowned for their strength and persistence.
