Brown Bark Carpet
Horisme intestinata
Adult Brown Bark Carpet moths inhabit woodland margins, hedges, and gardens where clematis grows. They are chiefly nocturnal, taking flight after dusk and visiting lights, while adults feed little or sip available moisture and nectar. The brown, cross-lined wings resemble patches of bark when the moth rests with its wings folded.
