Spotted Camel Cricket
Ceuthophilus maculatus
The adult spotted camel cricket lives in moist, sheltered places such as caves, woodland debris, and dark human structures. It is an omnivorous scavenger, feeding on fungi, plant material, dead insects, and other available organic matter. Despite its cricket name, it lacks wings and relies on powerful jumping legs to flee predators.
