Spectral Tarsier
Tarsius tarsier
The spectral tarsier inhabits tropical forest and forest edges on Sulawesi and nearby islands, spending daylight hours hidden among vegetation. It is a nocturnal hunter that watches from a perch before making rapid leaps to seize insects and small vertebrates. Its eyes are exceptionally large relative to its body, giving it strong vision in dim light.
