Splendid Metallic Wasp
Chrysolampus splendidulus

Adults occur around woodland edges, shrubs, and other places where suitable insect hosts can be found. They fly actively while searching for hosts on which to lay eggs, and may take nectar or honeydew for energy. Their brilliant green metallic sheen is produced by microscopic structures in the outer cuticle rather than pigment alone.
