Annam Stick Insect
Medauroidea extradentata
The adult Annam stick insect inhabits dense shrubs and trees, where its long body closely resembles a thin branch. It is a nocturnal leaf-eater, remaining concealed through the day and feeding after dark. When threatened, it may sway with the foliage, freeze in place, or shed a leg that can later regenerate.
