Flat Andes Anole Hatchling
Anolis heterodermus (hatchling)
Hatchlings shelter among low vegetation and leaf litter in cool, humid Andean forest. They hunt tiny insects and other small invertebrates, relying on quick darts between cover. Their mottled green-brown coloring helps them disappear against moss and leaves.
