Onion Fly
Delia antiqua
Adult onion flies occur around cultivated onions and other allium crops, especially in cool temperate regions. They feed on moisture and sugary plant secretions, while females seek soil near host plants for egg laying. The small gray adults resemble houseflies but are generally more slender.
