Twotailed Spider
Hersilia caudata

Twotailed spiders live on tree trunks in tropical and subtropical forests, where their flattened bodies and mottled coloring blend into bark. They hunt insects by rushing around the trunk and casting silk from their exceptionally long rear spinnerets to tangle prey before biting it. Despite the name, the two tail-like structures are spinnerets rather than true tails, and can be longer than the abdomen.
