Lebeau's Rothschildia
Rothschildia lebeau
Adult Lebeau's Rothschildias are nocturnal silk moths of tropical and subtropical forests and woodland edges. They fly after dark to find mates, while adults with reduced mouthparts do not feed. Large eyespots on the wings make a sudden display that can startle a potential predator.
