Sachem
Atalopedes campestris
Adult Sachems occupy gardens, grasslands, roadsides, and other open areas with flowering plants. They drink nectar from a variety of flowers and fly low, quickly, and erratically between feeding spots. Males commonly perch in sunny openings before darting out to inspect passing butterflies.
