Cave Cobweb Spider
Nesticus cellulanus

The cave cobweb spider lives in sheltered, humid places such as caves, cellars, rock crevices, and abandoned structures. It builds an irregular, tangled web and waits beneath or beside it for small insects and other arthropods to become entangled. Vibrations in the silk alert it to prey, which it rapidly wraps and bites. Despite its cave-associated name, it is also regularly found in cool man-made refuges.
