Dark-branded Bushbrown
Mycalesis mineus
Adults inhabit grassy clearings, forest margins, gardens, and disturbed woodland in South and Southeast Asia. They fly low through vegetation and feed on flower nectar, fallen fruit, and other moist food sources. The brown wings bear eyespots that can distract or startle predators when the butterfly is flushed.
