Diamond Dove
Geopelia cuneata
Diamond Doves inhabit dry open woodland, grassland, and scrub across inland Australia. They spend much of the day foraging on the ground for grass seeds, taking quick flight when disturbed. One of Australia's smallest pigeons, the adult is recognized by the white-spotted patterning on its wings.
