Little Wattlebird
Anthochaera chrysoptera

Little Wattlebirds inhabit heathland, open woodland, gardens, and coastal scrub in southern Australia. They move energetically through flowering shrubs, feeding chiefly on nectar while also taking insects, spiders, and berries. Despite their name, the wattles on the sides of the neck are often small or absent, and individuals are known for their harsh, scratchy calls.
