Mouflon
Ovis gmelini
Mouflons inhabit rugged mountains, rocky slopes, dry woodland, and open scrubland. They browse grasses, herbs, shoots, and leaves, moving carefully across difficult terrain. Adults remain highly watchful and flee uphill quickly when threatened. Rams grow large, curling horns that are used in forceful contests and defensive headbutts.
