Two-Barred Flasher
Astraptes fulgerator
The adult two-barred flasher flies through tropical forest clearings, edges, and the canopy. It visits flowers for nectar and may also take nutrients from damp ground or fallen fruit. Its quick, darting flight and flashes of contrasting wing color can make it difficult for predators to track.
