Locust Treehopper
Thelia bimaculata

Adults inhabit woodland edges, hedgerows, and gardens where locust trees and related host plants grow. They feed on plant sap with a piercing beak and readily hop or fly between stems when disturbed. The enlarged, hornlike pronotum gives the insect a thornlike silhouette, while adults also communicate through vibrations sent along their host plants.
